Let us start off by sharing a little about RUANG with you, the roots that formed the shoots.
Ruang, Indonesian for space // raum // espace // spatium // plads
a continuous area or expanse which is free, available, or unoccupied. Ruang originated from an idea of a space where we are free to create, express and collaborate at our own pace. Our pieces evolved from the previous pieces, all relate and connected to each other.
Rooted in the love for creating and the appreciation that the freedom to create is priceless and of the utmost importance in our lives. Our pieces represent the constant collective evolution in unison. Our aim is to produce unique, long lasting pieces that become a part of a succession and are handed down to our heirs; withstanding the test of time. Birthed from a well-balanced blend of craftsmanship, tradition and art. Equitably supporting heritage artisans and creating space for the new generations to come and continue the lineage.
